Asta Olivia Nordenhof er født i 1988 i København. I 2011 dimitterede hun fra Forfatterskolen, og samme år udkom hendes debut Et ansigt til Emily, for hvilken hun modtog Bodil og Jørgen Much Christensens debutantpris. I 2013 udkom det nemme og det ensomme, en digtsamling, der også blev hendes gennembrud, og siden er oversat til svensk, norsk og engelsk. For den modtog hun blandt andet Montanas litteraturpris. I 2020 udkom Penge på Lommen (Scandinavian Star. Del 1.), første del af et planlagt syvbindsværk. I foråret modtog hun European Union Prize for Literature for den. English: Asta Olivia Nordenhof (born 1988) is an award-winning poet and author and a graduate of the Danish Academy of Creative Writing, where she now teaches. Her debut novel Et ansigt til Emily (A Face for Emily, Basilisk, Copenhagen, 2011) won the Munch-Christensen Debutant Prize. In 2013, she won, among other awards, the Montana Literary Award for her critically acclaimed poetry collection det nemme og det ensomme (the easiness and the loneliness, Basilisk, Copenhagen, 2013) which was translated into English and other languages. Penge på lommen (Money to Burn), published in 2020 is Nordenhof’s most recent work and the first novel in a planned septology entitled Scandinavian Star. Penge på Lommen was recently awarded with the European Union Prize for Literature. It is currently being translated into seven languages.
